Human innovation is creating a growing danger to our ecosystem, yet many Americans are sightly less concerned about these dangers. Surveys taken by the Gallup fond Series Environment poll in April, 2010 show that on that point has been an accession over the last two years of those who trust that the level of seriousness concerning global warming is greatly exaggerated. The responses to one key question revealed 48% of Americans now have this picture; a 7% percent increase from 2009 and 17% increase since 1997 when the question was first examined. What is the reason for this increasing doubt? many researchers are finding that the apocalyptic messages used to promote open awareness are causing some of the doubt. A youthful study conducted by researchers at the University of California-Berkley revealed that, by contradicting peoples basic beliefs about the worlds justice and stability, disgraceful representations of climate change lead individuals to greater skepticism in global warming and a decreased desire to deoxidize their carbon footprint (Al-Samarrai,2010).
