To the absolute majority of Americans the attack came as a daze and was solely unexpected. From the point of view of the average American citizen it seems as if the federal government was completely unprepared and helpless against such an unexpected terrorist attack. There are many contradictions involving the way the attacks took place, what was reported, and the governments reasoning behind why they were so defenseless against it. When interpretation different reports on the conspiracies theories and controversies surrounding that tragic day in United States history, it becomes evident that there are pieces of the puzzle missing. The first thing that comes to idea when picturing the events which occurred on September 11 is an image of the twin towers collapsing. The entire nation was in shock as they watched this terrible event take place. But how more does the average American really know about the events that took place that day?
