The Navajo
The Navajo Indians, the largest population in North America, live in the Northeast turning point of Arizona. This paper will be about one of the beginning(a) true Americans namely the Navajo Indians. It will describe their gender relations, affection and healing, and social change.
First of all a brief recital of the name Navajo and what bit means. Its pronounced NAH-vuh-ho. This spelling came from Spanish-- you can some beats see the same name spelled Navaho instead. It comes from a Pueblo Indian ledger for planted fields or farmlands. The Pueblo Indians probably gave them this name because dissimilar their relatives the Apaches, the Navajos were farmers who lived in settled villages. Traditionally the Navajos called themselves naileé or just Diné (which means the plenty), but today most Navajo people also use the word Navajo themselves, especially when they are sermon English. (Redish & Lewis, 1998)
The Navajo people originally lived in Southwestern Canada and Alaska, and so they moved south to Arizona, unfermented Mexico, Utah, and Colorado. It was the Pueblo tribe that taught them how to grow corn, beans, and squash.
This would shed them primarily horticulturalists, but they also raised sheep and goats, which they utilize for aliment and wool to make clothing. (Redish & Lewis, 1998) The Navajo were at one time considered nomadic until they decided to settle down. They were a war care people wanting to go to war with anyone. They went to war against the Americans and the New Mexicans, until they signed a treaty with the Americans. To this day they have remained peaceful.
