What is reap hook cell?
Sickle cell is an inherited caudex disorder that affects red billet cells. People with reaping hook cell unhealthiness have red blood cells that contain for the most part haemoglobin s, an abnormal type of haemoglobin. Sometimes these cells become reaping hook shaped and have difficulty passing through blood vessels.

When sickle shaped cells block the blood vessels slight blood can reach that part of the consistency, this starves that area of the body of oxygen and causes tissues to die this is what causes complications in sickle cell disease. on that point currently is no cure for sickle cell.
Different types of sickle cell
There are different types of sickle cell disease the most common are:
Sickle cell anaemia (SS )
Sickle haemoglobin c ( SC )
Sickle important plus thalassemia
Sickle cell trait ( AS ) as an inherited condition in which both haemoglobin a and s are produced in the red blood cells, of all time more A than S, sickle cell trait is non a sickle cell disease and a somebody with this normally leads a healthy normal life with no symptoms.
Inheritance
If both parents have sickle cell trait in that respect is a 25% chance (1 in 4) of their child having sickle cell disease. Sickle cell affects around 12500 people in England making it the most common inherited disease in the country. (Sickle cell disease association 2005).
