From reading the book A Street Car Named desire and watching the movie I have the most humanity for Stella. I have the most sympathy for Stella because in two the book and the movie Stanley and Blanche walk all over her, Stella is put in in a position of having to choose over her infant and husband and to make matters harder Stella is pregnant with Stanleys baby. For these reasons I have the most sympathy for Stella.
Firstly, Stella is always being pushed around by her sister Blanche. Blanche is always asking her to do things for her wish a servant. For example, in the book Stella is always doing things for Blanche ilk going to buy the farm her a coke from the store, getting her hot baths ready, and getting her garment for her. It should really be Blanche doing those things for Stella, since she is pregnant and a guest in her house. Also, Blanche is always rudely obese Stella how she lives is wrong and constantly criticizing her consanguinity with Stanley. Blanche does not understand why Stella would lower herself for someone equal him, and when Blanche asks why she is with him and respects him, Stella says it because of his drive.
Secondly, Stanley does not make it any easier for Stella. Stanley is always telling her what to do and how to do it.
Stanley also drinks a lot and has a temper. In the book Blanche is playing music and Stanley doesnt akin it and because of his drinking he makes a bad choice and throws the receiving set out the window. This makes Stella upset and when Stella is upset Stanley continues to yell and get hard-hitting with her which makes Stella leave. Once Stella is gone Stanley realizes what he has done and goes to find her, and because Stella is love struck she goes back to him. By going back to him Stella gives him the military force to continue this behaviour, making him think it is okay to act like this.
