Capote may not have been quite so extreme, entirely he was unlike any other celebrity in his era. The flamboyant, extravagant, and celebrated author lived an outrageous lifestyle after decision success. Before there was success, though, Capote overcame some undesirable circumstances. He was abandoned as a child, and was raised by his cousins. He was employed by a magazine that he idolized, unless they would not look at his work. Truman Capote was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on September 30, 1924. He was given the name Truman Streckfus Persons by his flummox, Lillie Mae Faulk, who was seventeen at the time of his birth, and his father,Archulus Persons.
