One genuinely unfortunate example of or countrys major slip-up is the Marcopper venomous mine disaster. It is considered our countrys biggest industrial accident. When the leakage of waste from a mine owned Marcopper Mining spate in Boac, Marinduque, it caused flash floods which uncaring and damaged five villages with a total population of 4,400 people. not only that but according to the estimate of the government, the spillage of toxicant fluids killed about P1.8 million worth of mature freshwater and oceanic life and about P5millon bangus fry. Also the main source of backup of the people who resided near the mine which was the Boac river was declared dead and could not be any use to the residents there. The spillage was a great disaster for our nature and economy but even more to our people. There were numerous people who were determined to have toxic amounts of zinc and copper in their blood and bodies.

Also nearly of the residents complained of having skin irritations and respiratory problems which were probably caused by vapors emitted by the mine.
The hardest to understand in all of this is that before, there was already an feature like this only in a smaller subdue of damage. Marcopper took notice of this at first but when it happened again they did not act upon cementing and closing the leakage.
In my opinion, the government displayed a very indecent example in terms of not avocation environmental regulations that they themselves for the people and businesses to follow.
The businessmen behind the Marcopper Mining Corporation should be punished and face the consequences...If you want to get a full essay, order it on our website: Orderessay
