Researchers: Prof. Stephen Thomas, David Hall (Director), Jane Lethbridge, Emanuele Lobina, Vladimir Popov, Violeta Corral Public Services International Research building block (PSIRU) is part of the Department of International Business and Economics in the Business School at the University of Greenwich (www.gre.ac.uk). PSIRUs research includes the aliment of an extensive database on the economic, political, social and technical effects of liberalisation, privatisation and restructuring of overt services worldwide, on the multinational companies involved, and on the policies of international fiscal institutions and the European Union, especially in water, energy and healthcare. This core database is financed by Public Services International (PSI www.world-psi.
org ), the worldwide confederation of exoteric service trade unions. PSI and the European PSI Federation of Public Service Unions (EPSU www.epsu.org ) commission many of the reports of PSIRU. PSIRU is a constituent of the PRESOM and GOVAGUA networks, and coordinated the WATERTIME project, all funded by the European Commission. PSIRU is teaching a new Masters in Public Administration point in time (MPA) at the University of Greenwich from September
